Postpartum training, week 9
July 21 - 27
For context, see Postpartum training - intro
Goals
Recover smart from Mefjellet up and enjoy the mountains!
I spent this week in Norddal, on the beautiful, brutally steep west coast of Norway with my family. I decided to do a long run focused week, which with my meager running base is still fairly limited mileage. The locale also meant I got more vert that usual.
Highlights
I got to do Kallskaregga, a steep, 12 km loop traverse that is one of my favorite runs! I was pleased to get it done in 2 1/2 hours, which is how long it usually takes me - my base fitness is still there even if the top end is a bit slower.

With will babysitters (my husband's parents), Audun and I got out for a cycling date out to beautiful Kilsti. I feel so privileged to carve out this time with him, as it's obviously not a given with a 9 week old and 3 year old!

Lowlights
Not much to complain about this week except sore quads from all the vert and it was maybe a tad too hot - luckily there were plenty of opportunities to swim!
